Alumna Sophie Heeden, 2018

Sophie Heeden is currently the Concert Operations Coordinator for the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She graduated from Mason with a BA in Music (Viola) and a Minor in Arts Management in December 2018. She received her Masters in Music in Viola Performance from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and graduated in 2021.

    Sarah Moyers has recently graduated from basic training and has gained a position as a vocalist with the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band!

    A rising talent in Hollywood, Vincent Oppido’s music is “melodically classical yet unafraid to introduce new ideas” (Damon Lindelof). His music has been performed and recorded in Europe and Japan, and across the United States from Carnegie Hall to the Hollywood scoring stages of Warner Brothers and Sony Pictures Studios.

  • Bill Podolski

    2005, BM Music Education

    Bill Podolski is in his eighth year as Director of Choral Activities at H-B Woodlawn Secondary Program where he teaches six middle and high choral ensembles, which collectively involve a quarter of the school’s student population.

    Matthew Stensrud is currently in his seventh year teaching kindergarten through fifth grade general music at Annandale Terrace Elementary School, a Title I public school in Fairfax County, Virginia.

  • Dr. LaToya Webb

    MM Conducting

    Mason Music alumna Dr. LaToya Webb (MM Conducting) has recently joined the faculty of the Butler School of Music at UT Austin as the Assistant Director of the Longhorn Band and Assistant Professor of Practice in Conducting!
