Brass Day - Fall 2025
The Dewberry School of Music is excited to announce that registration for Brass Day Fall 2025 is officially open!

George Mason University Fairfax Campus
This event is free and open to trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, and tuba students of all skill levels from 6th grade through 12th grade. Please be prepared to bring your instrument.

Featuring Guest Artist Aliyah Danielle
A dynamic, unconventional artist whose work blends genres to tell stories through sound. A singer, French horn player, composer, producer, and educator, she performs internationally and has presented lectures and masterclasses across the U.S. She is the founder of The Fusion Collective, a visionary community reimagining performance and collaboration, and a founding member of the Chromatic Brass Collective. Aliyah is dedicated to equity in the arts and fostering spaces where creativity thrives.

- 9:00 a.m. - Check in and vendor exhibits open in deLaski Performing Arts Building lobby
- 12:00 p.m. - GMU Brass Ensemble Performance
- 12:30 p.m. - Masterclass with guest artist Aliyah Danielle
- 1:30 p.m. - Instrument breakout sessions and ensemble rehearsals led by GMU Brass faculty
- 3:00 p.m. - Final concert in Harris Theatre featuring Aliyah Danielle and participant ensembles
- 4:00 p.m. - Parent check out in deLaski Lobby, exhibits open
