Biography
Ocie S. Banks is the Director of Choirs at Thomas G. Pullen K-8 Creative & Performing Arts ! School in Prince George’s County. He previously taught at Samuel Ogle Middle and Rosaryville Elementary, achieving Superior Ratings with his choirs. Banks holds a Bachelor of Music Education from George Mason University and a Master of Music and Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Choral Conducting from Messiah University. He is President-Elect of the Maryland/D.C. Chapter of ACDA, Member-at-Large for the Maryland Choral Educators Association, and the Eastern Region Representative on the NAfME Council for Choral Education. Banks also leads OSB Music, LLC, and serves as Executive Pastor of Gifted Church, Inc. He is an active choral and vocal clinician, adjudicator, and guest conductor. He is dedicated to promoting choral excellence.
