Kyle Harrington

Kyle Harrington is a native of Richmond, Virginia. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Music Education from George Mason University in 2014. He began his career in Fairfax County Public Schools as the Assistant Band Director at Fairfax High School from 2014-2017. He then transitioned to being the Assistant Band Director at Langley High School in Mclean VA from 2017-2019. 

Outside of teaching high school band he has had the pleasure of teaching at various music camps in the area including the Vienna Band Camp and the John Champe Summer Band Camp. He also taught the World Class Crossmen Dum and Bugle Corps in 2016, 2017, and 2018. 

Prior to becoming a music educator, Mr Harrington performed with Carolina Crown, a World Class Drum and Bugle Corps in 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2013 where the group recieved 2 Visual Gold Medals, 4 Brass Gold Medals, 2 World Championship Silver Medals, and 1 World Championship Gold Medal. 

Mr. Harrington currently works as Director of Bands at Independence High School in Ashburn, VA. It is his first time opening a brand new school and he is excited to build a culture of excellence and watch the program grow into something truly special.
